Prime Picks:Â
ULM @ Coastal Carolina – ULM -2.5
This is certainly one of the games of all time—a real David vs. David matchup. Both teams are coming off embarrassing road losses. Both are lackluster in the stats department. Both are just so damn awful.
But the battle of the dunces has to end with one winner and one loser, and I think ULM comes out on top in this crapshoot. ULM is scrappy, stronger than you’d think, and they love sacking the quarterback.
CCU has a turnover problem, an O-line problem, and, frankly, a football problem. I’m not sure they’re even aware they’re playing the sport of football. The turnover margin will decide this game, and I think ULM will force 3+.
I don’t need to tell you the statistics—just know ULM will come out on top in this battle of the turds. WARHAWKS.
Michigan @ USC – MICH +2.5 & ML
This game is the complete opposite of ULM vs. CCU. It should be a classic Big Ten-style, strength-on-strength matchup.
I like Michigan outright here. Their line play is much stronger than USC’s. Jayden Maiava is an incredible quarterback for USC, but I think Michigan’s defense will be too much for him.
Bryce Underwood has improved every single week, along with every position group on the team
Give me the Wolverines.
Rice @ UTSA – UNDER 49.5
The under screamed at me here. It was on its knees begging for me to take it. I had to. It was like being in an animal shelter and locking eyes with that one special dog—you just had to take it home.
Well, Rice @ UTSA UNDER 49.5 is now home. It is my hypothetical fur baby.
Rice operates in a run-heavy offense, almost like a military school. They march down the field and chew up the clock. UTSA’s defense is stout enough to minimize big plays, and their offense has been lackluster in recent games.
I think that trend continues. There’s no way both teams combine for 50+ points. Expect a run-heavy, low-scoring affair.
Utah State @ Hawaii – HAW -1.5
NEVER COUNT OUT HAWAII AT HOME.
Let’s have another great weekend!
