This weekend is shaping up to be the best slate we may have all year. It’s 100% the best so far. So many ranked matchups, tough conference battles, and damn near guaranteed chaos. This weekend alone could mark the beginning of something special for one team—and the beginning of the end for another. I’m so hyped to sit on my couch and put college football on the TV. Three TVs, to be exact. (Not a brag) ((Brag))

Last week was a big improvement for my prime picks. I went 4-2 and would’ve gone 6-0 if Nebraska could win a Big Ten home opener. They can’t—and they didn’t. Regardless… progress. I’m inching closer and closer to .500, and soon I’ll be in the positive. Definitely after this week and these picks. For anyone keeping track, I’m at 14-15 for the year. So close. Let’s dive into this week’s prime picks. It’s a short list, but they’re all winners. Just FYI: very few stats this week. Just vibes.

Prime Picks

Rice @ Navy – RICE +14.5

All five of my picks screamed at me to take them, and I did—without even looking. This one was #1 on that list. Rice’s offense is a run-heavy unit, just like Navy’s. I think Rice is severely underrated, and 14.5 points is too much. I considered the over, since both teams are a collective 6-1 in overs this year. But, just going to focus on this spread. RICE. DON’T PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD.

#11 Indiana @ Iowa – OVER 47.5

Iowa has figured out the forward pass. Indiana is ROLLING. 47.5 is not enough. This isn’t the old Big Ten. This isn’t old Iowa. This is the new and improved, HIGH-SCORING BIG TEN, BABY. In all seriousness, I don’t think this will be a barn burner, but I’m confident they’ll hit 48+. Indiana has hit the over in 9 of their last 13. Let’s lock it.

#8 Florida State @ Virginia – OVER 59.5

I don’t usually like betting on weekday matchups—they tend to be incredibly chaotic. But this one is a must-bet. Both teams have hit the over in every game this year. Florida State has the best overall offense in the country right now. Virginia has the fifth-best. This will be an exciting matchup, and the over is too free. POINTS, BABY.

South Alabama @ North Texas – UNT -12.5

UNT is rocking this year. South Alabama is not. They look kind of defeated and have to hit the road again this week. North Texas is red-hot, and I think they win this one easily—by 3+ touchdowns. IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE HEAT, GET OUT OF DENTON.

Auburn @ #9 Texas A&M – OVER 52.0

Heavy on the overs this week—I’m obsessed with points. A&M’s offense seems revamped this season. Their defense still needs work, so I expect Auburn’s talented offense to put up points. Over 52 feels easily attainable. A&M has hit the game total over in 9 of their last 12. Auburn has only covered 2 of their last 12, but that’s no cause for concern. Just means they’re due. GIVE ME POINTS.

Let’s stay hot this week and go 5-0. Let’s enjoy the slate and embrace the absolute chaos of this incredible week. Good luck, have fun.
